Background. Research has consistently shown that families with children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) have difficulty engaging in family routines, yet little is known about families with adolescents with ASD. with adolescents with ASD (FASD) and families with typically developing adolescents. Data were analyzed using a Mann-Whitney U and content analysis. was a trending toward significance in the subscale of mealtime routines in both endorsement and adherence. Analysis of open-ended questions revealed differences in how routines were carried out. addressing routines of importance to FASD to increase family health and well-being. Further research is needed to better understand the routines of FASD.
